‘Really Early, Really Late’ is the first track to be taken from the forthcoming The Declining Winter album of the same name due on Home Assembly on March 24th 2023.
It sees The Declining Winter main-man Richard Adams collaborate with drummer James Yates (epic45), pianist and guitarist Matthew Jones-Green (Boyracer, The Tall Boy) and saxophonist Robin Smith on an elegiac nine minute opus which recalls the fractured, fragile likes of Talk Talk and Robert Wyatt.
There is also a non LP B side ‘The Old Me’ showcasing orchestral pop repetition with nods to Michael Nyman and The Divine Comedy’s ‘Promenade’ LP.

This comp is so varied and so consistently good track-to-track you frequently forget what you're listening to. Kind of like how music radio should be: frequently reaching for the controls/ whatever to find out who is performing the current track / ably mixing genres with quality being the main guideline. Nicely done. Anthony Childs
